Well I attended the uneventful commissioner’s meeting this past Tuesday. Seen a couple of the key players arrive for the sequel “When Barber’s Attack” and yet nothing. Much like any sequel before this one didn’t live up to the first blockbuster meeting. Yet it wasn’t with out some news leaked out that had many of us in the room laughing. After the last commissioner’s meeting apparently Steven Berry has requested that there be ARMED security at the commissioner’s meeting from now on. Steve are you really that scared of the people who you refuse to pay. Oh that’s right you refuse to pay the men and women who protect this county. I wonder why no other law enforcement agencies would help you, guess they are big Barber fans. Who would have “thunk” that cops look out for each other. No Moron not in that since of the phrase. I guess Steve you never heard that old classic song by the Bobby Fuller Four back in 1965 “ I fought the law and the Law WON!”
Wait have a couple of questions for you Steven?
1. How are we going to pay for hired security for your commissioners meetings, when you will not even pay our own law enforcement deputies? Can you justify spending money on a problem that you are partially responsible for.
2. How much research did you do before you decided to take over 911. Cause had you done any, then you would realize that this decision to take 911 would have cost the county more money, that you claim we do not have. See Camden the 911 center is a satalite from the Woodbine office. If you cut the ties from the Sheriff's office then the 911 center, DIES. Their system works off of the servers at the sheriff's office in Woodbine. Who are we going to get to work on the system when it has bugs or problems? Who is going to pay for the license for 911 to run criminal histories, and driver's license? Why would taking 911 away from the Sheriff's office going to do anything to help out this situation.
3. What is the Commissioners going to do when May comes around and this pay roll situation comes around again. Do you expect this men and women to take basically a month of without pay, actually most of the people who took the two weeks without pay, continued to work while not getting paid. Would you do that Steven, would you work two weeks without pay? Most would not!!!!

ANSWER: Steve Berry does not pay anyone at the Sheriff's Office, the Sheriff does. You are the one that said Steve can't tell the Sheriff how to spend his money.

Answer: Those servers belong to the people nothing changes.
I will agree with you on the part about it not helping the situation.

Maybe he needs to save some from the previous months. I gave him this time around, but then changed my mind when he refused to release the reports. Maybe he will send them to me, we will see.
Dude, You live in your own time ZONE. You are beyond Stupid. The County is simple Business and our Commission can't run it!! Facts are Facts. It's not about the Freakin Sheriff, Fire Chief, or Landfill Director. It's about the piss poor managment of not enough tax dollars in the county funds to get the jobs done effectively.
